I'm such a bird fanatic, AND I really enjoy bright colors, so I got super excited to see this in the Daily Deviation stack today!

Anyway, I've seen a lot of bird pictures, but never any of this specific species! That's probably what really sets it apart to me the most. That, and the outright contrast between the dull background colors and that beautiful plumage!

While the pose you caught it in or the general composition isn't totally original or outside of the box, it's definitely executed well. I've always been impressed how photographers can snap such a clear picture of these things. It must take lots of patience! (and / or luck?)

I think the lighting really adds to this piece! It gives the bird a sort of "looking forward" type feel to it. The whole picture seems to tell you that you have a bright future to look forward too... it really encouraged me, anyway!

Whether it's a bright "looking forward" type piece, or just another super-professional adorable bird picture for us bird fanatics, I think it's a wonderful addition to anybody's favorites.

Well done!

I really like Photography I love how you focused the photo on the bird and is detail on its feathers. I also like how the backround is all blured out. This gives much vision for me all those vivid colors fit the photo well and i love how the bird is posing you picked a great snapshot! To me this is very unique i have never seen a bird like this in soo much detail its fantastic! I love the technique you did focusing on the bird and the stick thats all its great! This photo also has great contrast I love it! Keep it up!

I hate it when people fav my art and never go look at the rest of my gallery.

But I do that too. Hypocrite.

I saw one of these in the wild - Live in Australia where they are - I felt so privileged, they are such a pretty but elusive little bird.

Great shot - you must have a good camera.
