Noble Winter

it's been a while since i've written an actual critique, and this image really caught my eye, so you win!

overall, a very good image imho. i really like the composition and placement of the main elements (tree, sun, snowy expanse, sky) and the retro-like post-processing (it has a faded/yellowed slide look to my eye). the exposure seems about spot-on for this type of image, and the back-lit tree and texture in foreground snow are really well done. also, bonus points for not having any jet contrails in the sky - that really tends to be distracting; either you got lucky or removed them in post-processing - either way, good work on that point.

it's a bit of a cliched image/subject/composition but you did a nice job in capturing your vision. the distant background elements (hills, trees, etc.) are slightly distracting but that's a quibble and not a real criticism.
